What is the Career Cruiser
The Career Cruiser is a mobile trailer that has been modified to offer computer workstations and a variety of employment related information to support your career search.
We can facilitate workshops on resume and cover letter writing, interview skills, job search and career exploration. We also provide one on one support to people of all ages.
The Career Cruiser is a Youth Employment Network project, funded by Employment Ontario and managed by the YMCA of Hamilton/Burlington.
What We Offer
The Career Cruiser is an excellent resource that can be utilized in the community as a stand alone career and employment centre, or as a compliment to an existing centre or program. We tailor our programs to meet the needs of your clients.
On Board Resources

- Information and Brochures on other Community Employment programs
- Career Cruising (Career Exploration)
- Word processing for resumes, cover letters and other employment related documents
- Resume and Cover Letter Critique
Our Requirements
- Three prong hydro outlet- 15 or 20 amp service
- Minimum of one outlet in order to power computers, lights and equipment
- Secondary Outlet to power fan and/or air conditioner (mandatory for hot weather). Outlets should be on separate circuits as to avoid tripping breaker/blowing fuses.
- Distance from outlets to trailer should be 100 feet or less
- Site visit will be conducted and details coordinated with host
